Bellissima Opera’s annual International Women’s Day Concert featuring an award-winning female roster of vocalists, pianists and artists showcasing the works of women in the arts. Our first concert launched in 2022 in Oak Park, Illinois.

2022 Concert

Sopranos Michelle Areyzaga, Jonita Lattimore and Christine Steyer, and contralto Corinne Wallace-Crane were centerstage for our 2022 International Women’s Day Concert.

They were joined by collaborative pianists Dana Brown and Jennifer McCabe, the Halau I Ka Pono ensemble, author M.G. Bertulfo. The concert was set to a backdrop of images by artist Mimei Sakamoto.

The concert featured the works of female poets, librettists and composers including Anna Akhmatova, Amy Beach, Susan diLallo, Lita Grier, Christina Lee, Lena J. McLin, Gabriela Mistral, Patrice Michaels, Elizabeth Rudolph and Christine Steyer.
